“Be grateful for anything if it relieves the traffic congestion in the city centre.
Some people are never happy .”

“A single carriageway will only be OK if they do not allow any Housing development on the route. If they still want to allow building of 5-10,000 new Houses, then it must be dualled as originally planned.”

“er a duel carriageway costs extra money which Local Government in the last 40 years defini
tely has not got. Money to build comes at a cost - ie higher Council Tax - money LCC has not got. Simple.”

“Why waste money building a single bypass when for just a bit more money and a bit more land we can have a proper dual carriageway and futureproof the road. Its bound to cause disruption to residents but at least if its done properly once it won't have to be done again in the future.”

“I believe the application for a dualled road was refused hence the new application for the single carriageway. As a resident who lives near the proposed site I am thankful that it will just be a single road.”

“Refuse it until they see sense and apply to build it as a dual carriageway for the entire distance. Then we hopefully won't see the same problems as with the western bypass!”
