Lincolnshire County Council uses Star Wars reference to convey serious safety message
Lincolnshire County Council used a Star Wars reference to great effect this afternoon to convey a serious safety message to motorists on social media site Twitter.
The local authority Tweeted:"Our cameras show Lincs drivers today must beware black ice, frozen snow and an Imperial assault on the rebel base."

A county council spokesman said: "Social media provides a unique opportunity to reach a number of people quickly with important messages.
"With black ice a particular issue on our roads today, we wanted to reach as many people as we could with this safety warning.
"Since starting our Twitter account in 2009, our more light-hearted tweets have always achieved a far greater number of re-Tweets, helping the messages reach as big an audience as possible.
"Through both the official county council account and our dedicated Gritter Twitter @LincsCC_Winter, we provide helpful updates which also put a smile on our Followers' faces, often with reassurances too – may the gritting force be with you."

“Well we all knew these people in power were from out of this world, now we know it there bringing in their trojan horses now, the end is nigh, "Who could have imagined that councils from timeless worlds would dare to come up with this, and yet they did, minds and budgets far imaginable than we can ever forsee, forced and pushed their ways upon us "”
