Most Lincolnshire firms plan to spend more are marketing in 2013
The majority of Lincolnshire firms are planning on spending more cash on marketing this year to boost their growth, according to a poll.
Three in five companies told Gainsborough marketing agency Ideafuel they would increase investment in promotional activities.
And a further 34 per cent said they would spend at least the same as they did in 2012.
Just 8 per cent forecasted they would reduce the figure.

Shaun Cole, of Ideafuel, revealed 61 per cent of those ramping up their activity also planned to boost their online profiles.
"We speak to a lot of organisations in the county and there is a real sense of optimism about growth for the business economy and our survey results have quantified what we have heard anecdotally," he said.
"It is telling that less than 4 per cent of firms confessed that they didn't understand digital marketing. This indicates to us that the vast majority of businesses are tuned into it and see the benefits it can deliver in terms of raising the profile of their business, engaging with people in the online space and, most importantly, generating a return on investment."
Another encouraging finding was that 64 per cent of the companies polled had a clearly defined marketing plan for 2013.
Mr Cole added the results showed firms were gearing up to embrace the roll-out of superfast broadband in Lincolnshire.
It is hoped 90 per cent of properties will have speeds of 24 megabits a second by 2015, with 2 megabits a second available for the remaining premises.
The process is being pushed by the £57 million onlincolnshire project run by Lincolnshire County Council.

Ideafuel, which is based in Marshall's Yard in Gainsborough, conducted the online survey of more than 100 Lincolnshire companies in January 2013.
