Lincolnshire man's car seized for anti-social driving

Everyone has their own interpretation someone being a prat, but if your neighbour sits in their car, on their drive, playing loud music or likes the sound of their big bore exhaust, that's not illegal, but could cause annoyance or distress. The same goes for drivers who do donuts etc. in shop car parks. Before, the Police were limited to what they could do, but now have the section 59. Whether they abuse this power, is another thing.

Taking someones vehicle from them does not prevent them from driving, taking their licence from them does.

Sorry lad, still not 100% sure of what constitutes being a prat as opposed to doing something illegal. Not wanting to start an argument, but I just cant get my head round this one.

If Ive crept over the speed limit for example, and a plod, rather than issue the fine and points, then gives me a warning, I would expect a harsher penalty if I foul up again. Possibly with the earlier act of naughtiness being taken into account. Like being bound over for vehicle drivers.

If however, Im pulled over because my music is too loud, Im wearing a false nose, I have a poor taste in female company or even all three, then Im sure there must already be legislation in place to tackle the misdemeanour?

Im not too familiar with the workings of the law, but I never saw Judge John Deed send down a `****** for being a prat. Although Im not saying he shouldnt have done!
