Lincolnshire has again outperformed average pass rates for its statistical neighbours over all categories of performance, including a 5.3% lead in terms of 5A*-C grades including English and maths.

The percentage of pupils achieving the English Baccalaureate, introduced by the Coalition in 2010, has increased by 2% in Lincolnshire to 20.6%. This is well above the national average of 16.2% and eight of our schools exceed 60% for this measure.

Lincolnshire's maintained schools have outperformed academies, with 66% of pupils achieving 5 A*-C grades including English and maths, compared to 62% for academies - although there were some outstanding results in all types of school.

Councillor Mrs Patricia Bradwell, Executive Councillor for Children's Services, said:

"Once more Lincolnshire students have achieved some fantastic results, whether in schools, academies or colleges. It is pleasing to see results continue to improve year after year. The achievements and qualifications gained by young people should help towards securing jobs and other opportunities. Together with their parents, carers and teachers, they all deserve recognition for an outstanding year of success for Lincolnshire."

“Concernedmum1: http://tinyurl.com/ba7yq3h Latest report from December, just over a month ago. That's the right school isn't it?”

“I was concerned about having my children at the Priory Witham after summers results. I was even more concerned after the Ofsted they had, that no-one seems to have reported on. It looks, from their website, that Ofsted haven't visited since 2010 when they were here last month. Now I've seen this I find it hard to believe no-one will take any action over the management at this school. Why hasn't the Echo, or anyone else tried to investigate just how poor the running of this school is?”
