Lincolnshire paedophile jailed for almost 20 years

A paedophile from Lincolnshire has been sentenced to nineteen-and-a-half years imprisonment for historic rapes and sexual assaults on young children.

Benjamin French Rodgers, 74, formerly of Hagbeach Gate, Whaplode, Spalding, appeared at Lincoln Crown Court on September 6.

The officer in charge of the investigation, Detective Inspector Guy Leach of Lincolnshire Police, said: "Rodgers is a dangerous, manipulative and calculating individual who seeks any opportunity to exploit any vulnerability.

"The victims and their families have experienced an arduous four week trial, reliving the events that have led to the trial.
