Lincolnshire's EcoFest to bow out after 16 years this weekend
IT IS the end of an era as a long-running music event takes place for the final time this weekend.
The musical feast that is EcoFest at Badger Farm on the Lincolnshire Wolds will be the very last. It will be staged at Asterby from June 15-17.

Event organiser Susi Mulligan admits that after 16 very successful years of organising the highly popular family musical event, it is now time for the weekend festival to bow out.
It began 16 years ago as a small gathering of like-minded people, artists, musicians and drummers.

They built a wicker man and burned it at midnight to celebrate the Summer Solstice.
The festival grew and grew, a wind turbine was added and the bar was plugged in. There were popular drumming workshops and Eco Fest was born.
This final year, the grand reunion event, will celebrate Lincolnshire talent and will feature bands from all over the county including Merlin's Keep, Starvin' Sid, Horncastle's Elliott Morris and the Battle of the Bands winners from Louth, A Trip to the Roses.
Susi has managed to keep ticket prices down for the last five years to make them more affordable and again they are £45 in advance for adults, £22.50 for age 12-17, children under 12 free. On the gate: Adults £50, age 12-17 £25.
The good news is that whilst Susi is calling time on Eco Fest, the Small World festival later in the summer will continue, hopefully with a community grant from East Lindsey District Council.
