Lincolnshire's Pipers Crisps voted as 'best British snack brand'
A Lincolnshire crisp brand has been voted as the best British snack brand in a recent survey.
Pipers Crisps, based in Brigg, scooped the award after retailers voted for producers across the country.

The awards celebrated the most successful speciality food and drink products on sale in delicatessens, farm shops and food halls.
Pipers Crisps' products are now available in around 5,000 outlets across the UK.

And the business enjoyed a significant rise in sales during 2012, after a brand update, new packaging and product launches.
Managing Director Alex Albone said: "Despite the recession we've had an excellent twelve months, growing our sales by 31 per cent over the previous year."
Pipers' production facility is running 24 hours a day to cope with demand and the firm is now looking to recruit more people to join its 48 staff.

“Never seen them and would not pay their price they are only spuds after all, maybe they should reduce bag size from 40mg to 25mg or goverment will tell them to cut portion size and ammount of salt, after all they are hitting out at chinese take aways and fish shops.”
