Brian Little highlights league campaign over Lincs Senior Shield clash with Boston
Gainsborough Trinity boss Brian Little admitted he would take a win against Worcester in their Blue Square Bet North opener over victory against Boston United in the Lincolnshire Senior Shield semi-final
The two Lincolnshire sides are due to meet in the league during the coming campaign, but Little says the semi-final final clash tomorrow week will have little baring on the league season to come.

Little has seen his side lose 3-0 against Leeds, draw against Brigg in the semi-final of the Lincolnshire Shield, going through on penalties, and draw 0-0 against a strong Grimbsy side, during a mixed pre-season.
“We have a game against Worksop next Thursday followed by the semi-final of the Senior Shield on Saturday,” explained Little.
“That will be a big game for the players and for the fans, but to be honest, it’s not as big as the game we have the week after, it will be more about bragging rights.
“Dare I say it, I think I would possibly settle for a win against Worcester over beating Boston.”
The former Hull boss (pictured) saw his side put in an improved display against the Mariners on Tuesday evening.
The two sides could not be separated and had to settle for a draw after 90 minutes.
“Everyone stepped it up a little against Grimsby,” added Little.
“There were some individuals who played better than others, but nothing to really shout about.
“We went to Grimsby and before the game we had a little chat about what went wrong against Brigg.
“I think we went a long way to putting those things right.
“We had three games in six days, which is never easy for any team whether they are professional or part time like we are.
“But I cannot stress enough, although you never want to lose your pre-season games, the results are not all that is important.”
