Louth Male Voice Choir celebrates 40th anniversary
A VOCAL group has reached a high note as it celebrates its 40th anniversary by forming a new boys' choir.
Louth Male Voice Choir is hoping to build on its popularity and success by launching a boys' choir in the town as well as attracting even more men to increase their own numbers further.

Choir chairman Malcolm Kerridge said: 'The male voice choir is keen to build on the wonderful work that has been going on at Kidgate Primary School. The members of their boys' choir have really enjoyed singing and we hope to be able to extend their opportunities by developing a choir that will, on occasion, sing with the senior choir.
"Our message to all the boys of Louth is come along and give it a try, it's fun listening to music but much more fun to make it."

It is hoped that secondary school boys in Years 7-9 will also join and then form an intermediate group as they get older. Local music teacher Colette Cooper, will lead the boys' choir.
Currently the men's choir has 50 members and would welcome newcomers of all ages.
On Tuesday, September 18 at 7.30pm there will be a taster session for anyone who is keen to find out what rehearsals are all about and on the same day at 4.15pm the boys' choir have their first meeting.
Both will be at Mansion House on Upgate.
Once again, the Louth Male Voice Choir will be on the search to find the best young musician in the area through the East Lindsey Young Musician of the Year competition.
It will take place on November 10 at Nichol Hill Methodist Church, Louth.
