Luton Town v Lincoln City: Match postponed
Lincoln City's away trip to Luton Town tonight in the Blue Square Bet Premier has been postponed.
The Imps were due to make the 230-mile round trip to Bedfordshire today, but the game has been called off following a pitch inspection at 10.30am.

Several volunteers had helped clear the snow off the pitch at Kenilworth Road, but there were several areas which were frozen.
This is Lincoln's second postponement in as many games, with last Saturday's home clash against Wrexham also falling foul of the weather.

“Exactly on the latter point :) I think the problem is that both saturday games are likely to be slotted into the week and might put a strain on people going”

“Depends on when they are re-arranged eatmygoal.
The games that have been postponed over the last few days were scheduled pretty close together, Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday.
Hopefully the fans would have put money by for these games that have been postponed, and as long as they don't touch it, then they'll be there when the games are re-arranged.
Although if they have a wife like mine, any disposable income not used by me, will be spent on something else, like an extra occassional cushion :)”

“Flip side is a lot of games close together which can cause injuries as players get fatigued. Also the drop in gate income as people pick and chose which game they can go to as there are more games to pay for out of a month's wage.”

“It would be better if City got no volunteers to clear the pitch for Saturday's home game.
We need the snow to stay on the pitch so as the game is called off just to give our injured players an extra week to get fit.
Let's think about what most benefits City first before anything else.”
