Mablethorpe and District Motor Club revving up for new summer season

The club is affiliated to the Motor Sports Association (MSA) and encourages its members to take part in all forms of motorsport.

Full support, help and advice is available to get you started and if you are still wondering whether or not to take the plunge then you are invited to visit the club at one of its meetings.
Gerry added: “We meet on the last Friday of every month at the Country Inn at Woodthorpe at 8pm.
“There is usually some business to attend to at first, then there is usually a programme of social events from a simple Noggin’ and Natter where you can discuss all aspects of motorsport and, in the summer, Treasure Hunts, Navigational Scatters and Carkhanas.”
Throughout the winter there is even a full programme of small rallies designed for experts and novices alike.
And, if being close to the action is your thing but not close enough to be driving then the club’s marshalling team could be for you.
Gerry said: “Whether marshalling, competing, organising and running events we are aiming to improve opportunities in motor sport but at the end of the day we try to do this with a smile, fun and plenty of humour.”
During June and July, the club is holding taster events when anyone can take part with their own car.
