Since taking over market responsibility, the Town Council has so far enjoyed a successful time and now has a waiting list of traders wanting sell their wares.
Town clerk, Steven Fletcher, said: "The market has successfully operated during December and January having only one cancellation due to severe weather.
"At all times the town council has liaised with traders and they seem happy with the market management.
"We met with all traders in October, November and December and are hoping to organise a Market's Consultative Group within the next few weeks. We have attracted several new traders to the market and are looking at ways and options to expand to meet demand.
"We have a waiting list of traders wanting to stand at the market and are turning an average of four traders away each week and having worked in markets for 24 years I have never known this in January.
"The town council is committed to the ongoing service provision of the market to the residents and traders and we are actively working towards joining the 'Real Deal' charter."
Local charities and self help groups can take up the offer of a free stall at the market and plans are being explored to hold a smaller market elsewhere during the spring, summer and autumn.
The council is also able to offer a stall hire service to other groups wanting to use them at their own events.

“Well, Mr CARPET, it's like this-
if you live in or near Mablethorpe, you'll already know. And if you don't, you probably don't need to know.”
