Major renovation of Grantham town centre complete
Major renovation works to improve roads and pavements in Grantham town centre have been completed.
The second phase of the renovation of Wide Westgate started in July and has seen high quality Yorkstone materials used to create new pavements, parking areas and access to premises, as well as road resurfacing.
There are also three new raised crossing points for pedestrians, including a zebra crossing, and three new disabled parking bays.

Leader of Lincolnshire County Council (LCC), Councillor Martin Hill, said: "We always aimed to finish the improvements in time for the Gravity Fields festival this weekend and we're delighted that people will be able to enjoy the town centre at its best.
"We've had a lot of positive comments, particularly about the use of the Yorkstone, which does look impressive."
LCC and South Kesteven District Council (SKDC) are working together as part of the Growth Point Partnership to deliver improvements to Grantham town centre.
"This second stage has gone really well, despite the weather at times, and disruption was kept to a minimum, with motorists being allowed through as much as possible and businesses being kept informed of progress.
"All that remains is some sweeping and tidying up over the next couple of days, with six new trees being planted later this year," added Councillor Hill.
SKDC's Portfolio Holder for Grow The Economy - Economic Development, Councillor Frances Cartwright said she was 'delighted' to see the next phase of the redevelopment looking so attractive.
"It has been welcomed by Westgate traders and has finished in time for the Gravity Fields festival, when we want to be looking at our best for the visitors coming from all over the country.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused while works were underway, but hope everyone agrees that it's been worth it," she added.
