Lowes's jump start saw him hit with a ride-through penalty, which saw him drop down the field and the overall standings.
The Bogdanka PTR Honda pilot is third in the title race, 35 points behind lead Kenan Sofuoglu and two points back from team-mate Jules Cluzel.

With Sofuoglu favourite to secure a third Supersport crown, Lowes insists all the pressure is on his Turkish rival.
"I'm really looking forward to the last three races," declared the former North Kesteven School pupil.
"The pressure is on Kenan, it's not on me, so I can just focus on going out there and fighting to win the last three races and then we'll see what happens.
"Nurburgring is a mega circuit and reminds me of some of the big, fast British tracks, so I feel really good at it and enjoy riding it."
