Man arrested over alleged claw hammer attack in Lincoln
A 21-year-old man has been arrested after a claw hammer was embedded in a reveller's head in Lincoln.
Lincolnshire Police have this afternoon arrested a suspect following the alleged assault in Hungate, near Revolution Bar, at about 12.50am on September 1.
He is being quizzed by detectives.
The alleged victim, a 21-year-old from Scunthorpe, was rushed to Lincoln County Hospital with a head injury and transferred to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, in Sheffield.
A spokesman for Revolution said neither man had been in the bar on Saturday night.
Police say he has undergone surgery and his condition is described as stable.
