Jeremy Janes, prosecuting, said that the plants were capable of producing 635 grams of cannabis with a street value of up to £11,200.
Day, 44, of Tower Street, Gainsborough, admitted possession of cannabis with intent to supply on February 26, 2012.

He was given a 12 month community order with 180 hours of unpaid work and was ordered to pay £250 prosecution costs.
Noel Philo, defending, said Day agreed to allow his premises to be used by others.
He said: "After the police visited and took away the cannabis he had a visit from his friends.
"They claimed he had lost their cannabis. He let them take an old Land Rover as compensation."
Mr Philo said that as a result of his arrest Day lost his job working on the production line at a factory.
Judge Michael Heath told him "This appears to have been your first foray into criminal activity and you have not benefited by one iota. I hope you have learned your lesson."
