Man hit by train in Grantham named as Robert Roy Poole of Bingham

A man who was hit by a train on the railway line near Peascliffe tunnel, in Grantham, has been named as 51-year-old Robert Roy Poole, from Bingham.

Mr Poole's body was found on Monday afternoon near the railway bridge on Belton Lane.

The coroner's office said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Mr Poole's death and British Transport Police are continuing with their inquiries.

A post mortem has taken place today.
