Man left critically ill after car smashes into tree near Crowland
A 27-year-old man is in a critical condition after his car smashed into a tree near Crowland.
He suffered serious injuries after his white Honda Integra type R veered off the road and crashed.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at the B1166 Gravel Causeway near Crowland, at around 5.45pm yesterday.
The man, from Deeping St James, was left with serious leg injuries.
He had to be cut out of the car by fire crews.
He was flown by air ambulance to Wallsgrave Hospital in the West Midlands.
He remains in a critical condition, after being given specialist surgery.
The road remained closed until approx 1am this morning.
Police are asking for anyone who saw the crash, or who saw the car beforehand, to contact them on the non-emergency 101 number.
