A LOCAL councillor's grant is helping to maintain the heritage of brass banding in Mareham le Fen.

East Lindsey District Councillor Janet Harrison has awarded £400 to the village's Victory Silver Band from the £2,000 community fund given to councillors each year to support local projects.

Cllr Janet Harrison has also given £200 to the Mareham and District Tuesday Club as a contribution to support the activities of the club, which is for over 50's.
