Marking helps us see the big picture
ALTHOUGH I am a Sleaford Town Councillor and have the often thankless task of chairing the Services' Committee, this letter is a personal one and I am not necessarily representing the views of the council.
Recently the town council agreed to mark up the Boston Road Recreation Ground to show the area that might be subject to a Compulsory Purchase Order.
As I am sure everyone is aware, this potential CPO relates to an area of the Rec required for part of the road forming the Sleaford South East Regeneration Route.
The task to mark the Rec, fell to Services, which is effectively the operations branch of the town council.

We set out to be as accurate, fair and even-handed as we could be in this task so that everyone could have the opportunity to view the facts.
I am indebted to two members of the public who provided the necessary skills and expertise to allow the task to be completed in a timely manner.
To maintain the even-handedness theme, I should also add that I believe the two parties who assisted, probably hold opposing views on Sleaford's current big question.
Their time and effort was given freely and generously and I wish to publicly applaud them. So, thank you again to our two local experts. If a picture really can say a thousand words the landscape on the Rec should help the people of Sleaford to come to their own conclusions without bias or prejudice.
