McCoy is still the master in the saddle
When champion jump jockey Tony McCoy was sidelined for the opening weeks of the 2013/14 season, I wasn't alone in thinking that he might be facing the biggest challenge of his career.
But I did not account for the relentless determination of the greatest jump jockey of all time.
When he signed off with a winner at Market Rasen Racecourse's RAF Benevolent Day on Sunday, 'AP' had racked up 60 winners in just two-and-a-half months, putting himself 24 clear of his nearest rival Jason Maguire.
The landmark 4,000 career winners total is now well within the Ulsterman's grasp.

Jump racing is now in the midst of a short summer break, but the action resumes next Tuesday in plenty of time for Market Rasen's next racing on Saturday, August 17.
One visitor to Market Rasen Racecourse for the opening night of 'Rasen Rocks 2013' is going to win a spectacular prize.
The lucky person chosen as the 'Face of Market Rasen Racecourse' during Ladies' Party Night on Saturday, August 17 can look forward to a VIP return visit to the track a fortnight later with a Champagne dinner, the chance to meet band members of McFly, a personal shopping session at Blessed, Lincoln, and an overnight stay at Buslingthorpe Manor and many other prizes.
To enter the contest visitors have to register, have their picture taken and then await the announcement of the finalists.
The evening's entertainment comes from Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills after the racing.
Places for the first part of Rasen Rocks can be bought online at www.marketrasenraces.co.uk or by calling 0844 579 3009.
Racing on August 17 is between 5.35pm and 8.10pm, with gates open two hours before the first race.
On-the-day prices on August 17: Family Enclosure £15; Tattersalls £20; County £25. Unlike horse racing only fixtures at Market Rasen Racecourse when accompanied under-18s are admitted free of charge, tickets for children aged five years and over cost £6 each for Scott Mills.
Children's tickets are limited in number, so early purchase is advisable.
