THE schools minister has congratulated a primary academy for their recent test results.

David Laws has written to the Ingoldmells Primary Academy after it achieved 100 per cent in level 4 or above in English and maths, the expected level of progress in English and the same in maths.

Mr Laws wrote: "I would like to congratulate all staff, governors and pupils for their hard work and success and to thank the head for the leadership in continuing the drive towards the highest standards of educational achievement."

Rona Pryme, Principal at the Ingoldmells Academy, said: "We were delighted to receive the letter. It is great to see that our achievements have been recognised. Our success is testament to the sheer hard work and determination of our excellent staff team and the continuous support of the parents. We have high expectations and plan to strive for even better results this year."
