Run by The Co-operative, the Somerfield store closure will affect its 31 staff
A spokesperson for The Co-operative Food, said: "We can confirm that the Somerfield store on London Road, in Boston, is due to close on Saturday 17 November.
"Staff at the store have been informed of the decision, which has been taken with the greatest reluctance and is due to the store's poor trading performance. It is not, in any way, a reflection on the commitment and hard work of the store team.
"Every effort will be made to redeploy as many as possible of the 31 members of staff with The Co-operative, or to help them find alternative employment."
The store closure is yet another blow to the town which has lost national chains Game, Clinton Cards, JJB Sports and Julian Graves in recent months.
