Motorcyclist seriously injured in Horncastle crash

A motorcyclist has been left with serious injuries after a crash on the A158 in Lincolnshire.

A grey Rover 103, driven by a 78-year-old man from Bucknall, was involved in a collision with a Yamaha motorcycle at around 10.45am on the A158 Lincoln Road in Horncastle yesterday.

The crash happened at the junction with the B1190 Thimbleby turn.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 40-year-old Spilsby man, was taken to Lincoln County Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, chest injuries.

The driver of the car went to Louth hospital to be checked, but was discharged a short time later.
