Motorists able to turn right onto Newark Road from Brant Road in Lincoln roadworks
Drivers are able to turn right from Brant Road into Newark Road in Lincoln for the first time in nearly two months.
Highways managers lifted restrictions on the road at 5am today.
It comes as the first phase of major road works in the area comes to a close.
The £2 million scheme, which is due to be completed by November 22, will see a number of alterations with Newark Road’s junctions with Brant Road, Hykeham Road and Rookery Lane.

Junctions are being made widener and a dedicated ‘turn left’ lane is being created in Newark Road to enable motorists to turn into Brant Road.
As well as general maintenance to Newark Road and Bracebridge, a new shared cycle and footpath is being built along Newark Road and Brant Road.
