Moving circus animals between performance venues unnatural
GIVE the animals their dignity. Animal circuses are as outdated as the Penny Farthing bicycle (October 30). Let them perform their own natural tricks in a more natural setting.
LEN FOSTER St Andrew's St, Lincoln.
If people want to see animals they should go to the many (and much improved) modern day animal parks – I refrain from the word zoo which conjures up the terrible way animals were kept years ago.
To say the actions of the animals are merely 'enhanced' says a lot to me. It is unnatural, and as for keeping the horses in stables, they need more than that. The continual stress of moving animals between venues is cruel.
DAVE WALSH, Lincoln.
