Lincoln Moorlands Railway boss Chris Moyses has set his side an ambitious target of notching up six wins between now and the end of the season as they fight for Northern Counties East League Premier Division survival.

Moorlands face a monumental task if they are to grind out one of those victories tomorrow as they host league leaders Bridlington Town (3pm).

Lincoln were thrashed 6-1 at the hands of Thackley last weekend and finished with 10 men after Dave Frecklington's sending-off but Moyses says the response from players in training has been first-class.

"To be honest we trained on Tuesday and it was a fantastic session," he said.

"The lads are very positive despite the result.

"But we must minimise our mistakes because they are costing us games.

"It can become difficult to keep picking the players up as we are on a run of four straight league defeats.

"There are certain players here that have become used to losing for the past couple of seasons and we need to get them out of that habit."

Moyses also revealed he is close to signing former Lincoln City youngster Jack Cotton to bolster his defensive options.

Moorlands are second-bottom in the table and seven points from safety having not won a league fixture since early November.

"I have set a target of us winning six games between now and the end of the season so we can finish third-bottom," said Moyses.

"I don't want to create undue pressure on the players but I am confident that we have a good squad.

"We need to change our mindset from trying to minimise how many goals by which we lose, to believing we can get a result against any opposition."
