Murder investigation: Dead woman named as Betty Constable
A 79-year-old woman who died on Tuesday has been named locally as Betty Constable.
Police launched a murder investigation into her death yesterday.
Neighbours Mervyn Owen and his wife Patricia had known Betty for more than four years. They lived near her in Merleswen, Dunholme.
"I used to cut her lawn for her and go to her house," Mr Owen said.

"She would talk to me about family, her grandchildren in particular. She would show me pictures of her grandchildren.
"She was a travelled lady.
"We always used to chat with her.
"She used to go walking with her sister, walking her sister's dog.
"I last cut her lawn not last week but the week before. She just seemed like a happy lady.
"We are deeply disappointed to hear the news, it is awful.
"She will be missed."
