Murder investigation launched in Lincoln
Police have launched a murder investigation after a Dunholme woman dies in hospital.
Officers were called at about 2pm on Sunday, September 22 by hospital staff who had concerns for a 79-year-old local woman who had been taken to hospital from her home in Merleswen, Dunholme, at about 11am.
She later died in hospital at about 10am on September 24.
Officers carried out initial enquiries and a murder investigation was launched yesterday.

Last night, a 51-year-old man was arrested in the West Yorkshire area.
He is currently helping police with their enquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector Martin Holvey said: "I can confirm that a murder investigation has been launched and I would urge anyone with any information that they think might help us to get in touch as soon as possible.
"We are not seeking any other suspects in relation to this investigation and there is no threat to the community.
"I would urge any local residents with any concerns to discuss them with our local officers in the village."
