Nathan’s body was found on a path in Beacon Hill Conservation Park, in Beacon Hill Road, at about 10.40pm on Friday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and a Home Office post-mortem examination showed that he died from a single stab wound.
Statements have been taken from witnesses and CCTV footage is being studied as part of the murder inquiry.
Since Nathan’s death his friends have been laying floral tributes to him in the town’s skate park in Barnby Gate, and hundreds of people have paid tribute to him on social networking site Facebook.
