New Swine Flu medication point opens in Boston
A SECOND antiviral collection point for distributing Swine Flu medication has opened in Boston.
Lloyds Pharmacy in South Square will distribute the medication between Monday and Friday from 9am to 6.30pm and on Saturdays from 9am until 1pm.
Parkside Pharmacy in Tawney Street will also continue to act as collection point and is open from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday as well as between 9.30am and 12noon on Saturdays.
Tony McGinty from NHS Lincolnshire said: "It is important to remember that in the majority of cases swine flu continues to be a mild illness where people are able to recover at home with plenty of rest and the help of over the counter remedies.
"The number of cases in Lincolnshire remain relatively low and people are reminded that good hand and respiratory hygiene is the best way to stop the spread of germs.
"Symptomatic individuals should stay at home and ask their Flu Friend to collect antivirals.
"They will need their own ID, the patient's ID and the unique reference number issued by the National Pandemic Flu Service."
The pandemic flu hotline number is 08001513100.
