A new date has been set for the cancelled Dizzee Rascal gig at the University of Lincoln.

The original performance, which was scheduled for Monday, was postponed after the artist fell ill.

Dizzee apologised to his fans via his Twitter page on Monday night.

He will now perform at the Engine Shed on Thursday, February 25, next year.

Refunds are available for original ticket-holders from point of purchase but original tickets are valid for the rescheduled performance.

Victoria Simpson, events and marketing manager at the Engine Shed, said: "Dizzee and his team were so disappointed to have to cancel the performance and disappoint fans but we know he will provide an amazing show on his return to Lincoln."
