PLANS for the Triton Knoll wind farm off the Mablethorpe coast will require a new electricity substation to be built in East Lindsey.

Energy giant RWE npower renewables was unable to confirm rumours, put to them by the Target, that the proposed 40 acre substation could be built on land between Skegness and Chapel St Leonards.

They did however say that they will soon be formally approaching local authorities, landowners and tenants in East Lindsey regarding the plans.
