HILLS ON FILM: Simon Weir from Louth who runs his own TV production company called Yellow Belly Telly, interviews Hubbards Hills Trust chairman Andrew Leonard for a new promotional film on the hills.

He said: "I'm from Louth and I wanted to do what I can to help promote the hills. The film will feature a bit about the geology of the hills and interviews with the Mayor Jill Makinson Sanders, trust chairman Andrew Leonard and local historian David Robinson.

"I would also like people to share their memories and history of the hills. If anyone has any old Super 8mm or video of family outings at the hills that could be included in the film I'd be most grateful."

Simon filmed some shots during the flooding in April from the heavy rainfall and hopes to get some further coverage when the hills will be the venue for the town's Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations on June 3.

The film, which will be around four minutes long will be posted on the Hubbards Hills website – www.hubbardshills.co.uk – as well as on YouTube.

Andrew Leonard, chairman of Hubbards Hills Trust, said: "We are extremely grateful to Simon for giving up his time and doing this video at no cost. By going on the website and Youtube it means the promotion of the hills will be available to a much wider audience which in turn improves our chances of obtaining long term funding."

If you have any old film clips you would like to share, contact Simon by emailing contact@yellowbellytelly.co.uk or call 07901 827656.
