New footbridge at Lincoln's Hartsholme Park is recommended for approval

The new bridge will replace the former White Bridge, which was removed in September last year due to serious structural issues.

It uses the pylons of the original bridge and has been designed with the Garden History Society.
A report to the City of Lincoln Council's planning committee states: "The replacement bridge is designed to reflect the design of the 1902 bridge whilst also meeting 21st century requirements."
