ESP TV is a Lincolnshire-based internet television station that will run programmes featuring and created by local people.

Upcoming shows include a documentary of a local historian travelling across the county on his tricycle and plans are in place for an entertainment programme broadcast from the Drill Hall Assembly Rooms.

Behind the station is local community interest company, Ermine Street Project, created to give those wishing to pursue a future in moving image production a springboard into their career.

One of the creators of ESP TV, Martin Nicholls said: "Quality material from filmmakers in Lincolnshire and beyond can find an outlet that pays them a share of advertising revenue.

"Online viewers are rewarded with ever increasing content that you don't have to trawl YouTube for.

“New content, such as drama, comedy and documentaries will be added weekly and viewers can keep up to date with what's new with regular reminders on social media."

One of the main features of the online station is currently the UK's first dedicated Steampunk channel but plans are to use the outlet to address local issues and demonstrate the work of communities.

CEO of Ermine Street Project, Sharon Cannings said: "We have a local interest and community channel so people in Lincolnshire can see what's going on in the county.

"We want groups to contact us and let us know if they want anything covered."

The project has been 12 months in the making but the group want to use local talent and offer university graduates a platform to fill the station with content.

You can view the station online at www.espplayer.tv.
