NKDC and LCC are going to build a new road for Sleaford from Mareham Lane to East Gate no matter at what cost to Sleaford and its people.

From the 1970s they have planned this road. Everything they have done for us from that day has been aimed at a new road. The station traffic lights are set to cause traffic chaos, and they have refused to adjust them to make an easier flow of traffic.

The one way system from the 1990s was deigned to cause traffic problems for traffic from Grantham Road.

Now they say by closing the railway crossing and building a new road bridge it will make Sleaford a more traffic-friendly place, but by closing the crossing and its lights they will have to put in five new sets of traffic lights just to get to the monument corner.

Just think of the chaos this will create, but it will not affect them. The town planners do not live in Sleaford but they will have a new road to their Sleaford offices. Democracy or dictatorship? James, Quarrington
