Newton and Red Lion go goal crazy after beating big freeze
Yet again, the weather decimated the Sills and Betteridge Lincoln Sunday League schedule as only two games survived.
However, 11 goals were scored in those two matches.

Hat-trick hero: Newton United's Paul Leedle (left) scored three goals in his side's 5-0 victory over Wragby in the Ron Eaglen Cup
Newton United's Ron Eaglen Cup tie at home to Wragby survived the icy conditions and they came away as 5-0 victors over their Division One opponents.
The Division Three leaders started well and took the lead after 10 minutes when good work by James O'Callaghan down the left ensured Paul Leedle had the simplest of tap-ins.
That combination led to the second goal a few minutes before half-time when O'Callaghan found Leedle with an incisive through ball.
Leedle's explosive pace took him past the Wragby full-back and he blasted his shot past the keeper at his near post.
The second half saw Newton again play by far the better football, retaining possession well with Lewis Delahey and Nigel Law pulling the strings in the middle of the park.
Midway through the half, a flick-on from Tom Eaglen saw Leedle again outstrip the Wragby defence and fire a shot from distance. The Wragby keeper could have done better as he allowed it to squirm under his body and into the net as Leedle completed his hat-trick.
With ten minutes remaining, Wragby failed to clear a corner and Richard Lenton found time on the edge of the area to flick the ball up and volley it in to the top corner from 20 yards. It was a goal of real quality.
The final goal came in the dying minutes when Delahey floated a ball into Leedle, who drew the foul in the box.
The resulting penalty was taken by Scott Fletcher, who, in his 60th game for Newton, converted to score his first goal for the club.
Newton will play either County Hospital or Clayton Wanderers in the quarter-finals.
The only league game to be played saw The Shed host AFC Red Lion in Division Five.
Playing a new system introduced at training by manager John Purdy, Red Lion adapted to the conditions well and it was not long before leading scorer Ady Gray opened the scoring for his side.
Jack McDonnell doubled the score and Harry Rickels found the net for the third, reacting the quickest to a rebound.
Sam McDonnell grabbed a fourth from Jack McDonnell's corner to make it 4-0 at the break.
In the second half, Red Lion created a host of chances while The Shed were unable to make any impression on their opponents' goal.
Rickels' second goal made it 5-0 while McDonnell also netted a second to complete a comfortable 6-0 victory.
