A NEW chairman has been elected to a city residents' group.

Noel Tobin, the City of Lincoln Council's neighbourhood manager for St Giles, was unanimously chosen to head up the committee of Glebe Park Residents' Association at a recent meeting.

Mr Tobin replaces Graham Maxfield, who was forced to step down as chairman due to work commitments. Councillor David Denman, ward member for the Glebe ward, said: "I know he will make a very good chairman and it's wonderful that he will give his time to the association."
