North Kesteven residents five times more likely to be in serious road crash
People who live in the district of North Kesteven are more likely to be seriously injured in a road crash than residents from anywhere else in England, according to a new study.
The Injury Profiles report by NHS health observatories is based on hospital admissions in 2010/11.

Data shows the proportion of casualties in road collisions that go to hospital, according to where they live, instead of where crashes happen.
The report claims that the average person from the Sleaford area is five times more likely to be in a serious road crash than someone who lives in Welwyn Hatfield, near London.

Boston is the second least safe place to live, South Holland is fourth, followed by West Lindsey.
Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership is quick to point out that the figures are based on hospital admissions, not where crashes have occurred.
However, spokesman John Siddle does concede that percentage wise, people in Lincolnshire tend to do more journeys than in other places, given the rural nature of the county.
"It is in urban areas where most collisions occur but are not so serious," he said.
"If you come off the road in Lincolnshire and hit a tree, what's going to give?"
