Nottingham man stole gold chain from Skegness jewellers
A NOTTINGHAM man, who came to Skegness to stay with his brother, stole a gold chain worth almost £700, from a town jewellers.
Shane Lee Walker, 24, of St Ann's in Nottingham, admitted the theft from Scotts in Lumley Road on June 8.

It was said he went into the shop on two occasions to look at the chain and on the second occasion asked the assistant to hold up a mirror for him.
When she did, he ran away with the chain.

Skegness magistrates were told he was identified from the store's CCTV records and he was arrested later.
He told police he had subsequently sold the chain in Nottingham.
Magistrates imposed a two-year community order with supervision and a requirement to attend a thinking skills programme.
He was also ordered to pay £695 compensation to the shop.
