Nursery teacher's head shave proves a cut above
A nursery teacher from Yellow Brick Road Day Nursery and Pre-School shaved her hair off to raise money for cancer research.
Newlywed Hayley Dearing raises funds for a different charity every year but this was her first head shave.
Mrs Dearing, who runs the pre-school kids club, said: "I planned the head shave over a year ago.
"At the end of the day it's hair and it will grow. I'm hoping it will grow in straight as I have really curly hair now.

"I am a newlywed and I was so busy planning the big day that I didn't have time to organise my usual charity plans of parties and swimming events for my chosen charity of the year.
"I still wanted to do something for this year's charity, Cancer Research, so I thought a head shave and barbecue would be fairly straight forward to plan.
"The reaction I have had from people has been brilliant. We're only currently £200 shy of our £1,000 target."
The headshave event took place on Friday, August 16, at the Yellow Brick Road Day Nursery and Pre-School in Metheringham.
Parents and children who attend the nursery spurred her on.
Michelle Delicata who owns the nursery and pre-school said: "Her hair was just past her shoulders so it's quite a lot of hair to chop off.
"People have been incredibly generous here we've already raised £400 to accompany donations made directly to Hayley."
