Online financial calculator set to help you calculate the cost of your care
Older and disabled people in Lincolnshire can now calculate the cost of their care - thanks to an online financial calculator.
The new tool is the latest addition to www.MyChoiceMyCare.org.uk, a website launched exclusively for Lincolnshire residents by the county council's Adult Social Care department.

Aimed at improving the lives of local people by giving access to a range of care services, the site's new calculator works out if residents need to pay for their care and, if so, what that cost might be. It also helps people make informed decisions about their personal circumstances, all from the privacy of their own home.
Cllr Graham Marsh, executive member for adult social care, said: "As well as discovering and accessing all the support and help available to them, it's also important that elderly or disabled residents, their carers and families, are able to find out what that care may cost. Especially in the current financial climate, being able to plan ahead and understand whether they will need to pay anything towards their care choice will be crucial for many.

The site enables users to input specific information to find out what kind of support they might need. It also contains a growing list of local providers, plus advice on what to do next.
