Open mic session to boost funds for Lincoln Inspired festival
Another open mic session and pledge day has been organised to help raise funds for a new community arts festival called Lincoln Inspired.
The team behind the festival, which will take place from May 7-12, will be back at Lincoln Drill Hall on Saturday, March 2, hoping to encourage more people to pledge pounds and pennies and become festival volunteers.

"Things are really beginning to take shape now thanks to our supporters and some very generous sponsorship from local people and businesses," says Lincoln Inspired chairman Sara Bullimore.
"We have most of the key events on the programme in place and there's some really exciting artists, authors and performers from the city and beyond who are going to be part of it. We will be announcing our headliners soon but in the meantime we need to keep doing all we can to boost our funds."
