Otter pup rescued by mother and daughter, 4, in Lincolnshire
A MOTHER and her four-year-old daughter helped rescue an otter pup which had lost its mum and strayed onto grassland in Langrick.
Kirsty Greene, her daughter Karis and friend Tina Blythe could not believe their eyes when they spotted the small male otter on grassland in the village.

RESCUED: A male pup was rescued from grassland in Langrick.
Their attention was drawn to the creature after they heard a loud squealing noise.
Miss Greene, 27, told the Target: "We heard this loud squealing animal-like sound while walking through the village.
"We looked around to see what it was and couldn't believe it when it came up close to us. It was so friendly and didn't seem afraid at all.
"It was very strange to see it on grassland, nowhere near a river. It was so small but we managed to catch it."
Miss Greene placed the otter in a box and contacted the RSPCA which collected it.
The otter was taken to East Winch Wildlife Sanctuary near Kings Lynn where it was confirmed to be six to eight-weeks-old.
RSPCA spokesman Katya Mira said: "He is very young and is still trying to suckle so we think he has just been weaned and has probably lost his mum and was looking for her when he ended up in the field.
"He is being fed trout and a milk substitute at the moment and will be cared for until ready for release – which will probably be next year now."
Anyone who has a similar finding can report it by calling the RSPCA emergency helpline on 03001234999.
