Outback classic Walkabout at Playhouse
Louth Film Club is showing a digital cinema print of Nicholas Roeg's classic 1971 film Walkabout.
The film tells the story of a teenage girl and her young brother abandoned in the Australian outback where they meet a young Aborigine on his coming-of-age ritual, the solitary 'walkabout' that gives the film its title.
Jenny Agutter plays the girl, Luc Roeg (the director's son) her brother and David Gulpilil the Aboriginal boy. The showing is at the Playhouse Cinema in Louth on Monday, October 28 and is certificate 12A. The show starts at 7.30pm.
