THE framework for new facilities at the Priory Academy LSST is well under way.

Work is being carried out at the school in Cross O'Cliff Hill to create an all-weather running track, playing fields and a new sports block with changing rooms and physiotherapy area.

According to aerial and elevation plans submitted to Lincolnshire County Council's planning department, the new buildings will extend from the back of the school.

The school is also currently building a £1.4 million sixth-form block.

The scheme is part of the £62 million Priory Federation of Academies project which saw the Priory LSST, Joseph Ruston Technology College and the City of Lincoln Community College merge.

Work began in May to create the new Priory City Of Lincoln Academy as part of the academies project.

The new school is being built on the former City Of Lincoln Community College site.
