ANIMAL rights protesters have staged a demonstration outside a visiting circus.

Members of the Lincoln Animal Rights group held up banners saying "Your fun is their misery" to visitors to Circus Mondao on Saturday.

They said they were protesting against the "exploitation" of circus animals.

The circus, which was in the grounds of Daisy Made Ice Cream in Skellingthorpe, near Lincoln, from last Wednesday until yesterday, features zebras, horses, goats and camels.

Around 10 activists urged visitors to boycott the show. They stayed on site for several hours.
