Paedophile jailed for 1970s offences has second victim come forward
A paedophile who admitted sexually abusing a young girl has been jailed for six years.
Dennis Hambridge first attacked his victim when she was just nine years old and went on to commit further offences against her.
Christopher Geeson, prosecuting, said that Hambridge was jailed in 2010 for historic offences against a girl which dated back to the 1970s when he lived in Essex.
But while he was serving his sentence his latest victim came forward and told a social worker how she had been abused by him.

Mr Geeson said: "She was nine years old when the offences started. He did not make any threats to her but did tell her this was a secret and not to tell anyone else."
The prosecutor said that the girl developed behavioural problems and revealed what happened to her in March this year during a conversation with the social worker.
Hambridge ,76, of Dove Close, Sleaford, admitted five charges of sexual assault between 2006 and 2008. Judge Michael Heath said: "It is not the first time you have been before the court for such offences. A substantial prison sentence is necessary in this case."
Stephen Lowne, defending, asked that Hambridge should be given credit for his pleas of guilty and said his client's health is deteriorating.
He said: "There is a suggestion that dementia is beginning to bite.
"His faculties are not all that they were."
